I've been pondering this for a while now as well
Medication would be a major issue, antibiotics are a must-have
Fresh water could be a problem as well
3D printing guns would take care of other people, but ammo stockpiles run dry eventually
It is a pretty cool idea to never have to rely on society again and just chill with or without major global shıtfests

With the right equipment, you can probably culture your own bootleg antibiotics from mold. You probably wouldn't want to do a lot of hunting of irradiated animals, and you would probably get yourself killed if you got into constant gunfights anyway, so I think the solution is just to have a moderate supply of ammunition and strong connections with the surrounding community.

Camouflage is one of the more important parts imo, having a fully self-sufficient bunker during the end times is basically like winning the lottery.
And humans are selfish by nature, they will want it for themselves.

Growing antibiotic from fungal cultures is a total crapshoot, companies like Sigma sell 10x pen-strep 500mL bottles which can be stored at -20C almost forever and will serve you quite well, one raid on a university lab and you’ll be set for life

raisinty fucking site.
You could diversify into different currencies within the eurozone since the German economy isn't doing perfect.
Dutch yields are also higher on longer term debt.
The Polish have their own currency which is performing similar to the euro relative to the dollar and their economy is more decoupled from shocks in international trade.
French gov debt is a meme, but pretty cheap.

Durable goods orders are the only really interesting one as it might indicate if manufacturers are still on track or if they're slowing down on investment
Jobless claims could be an early canary in the coal mine as to the status of the job market, but anything close to expectations isn't moving the market

Pretty funny OpEd on the difference between ancient Roman augurs and modern economic pundits, that ponders on if reading the entrails of slaughtered pigs might be more reliable for predicting the market then listening to Jim Kramer.

Hapag-Lloyd just announced that their container bookings from China to the US are down 1/3 since the start of April.
“There is substantial cargo from China being held back and a big increase in bookings from Southeast Asia like Thailand and Cambodia,” said Nils Haupt, a Hapag-Lloyd spokesman. “This is the most unpredictable period we’ve ever been in.” Falling demand could prompt the carrier to use smaller ships, he said.

Hapag-Lloyd is the world’s fifth-biggest container-ship operator and a partner of Denmark’s A.P. Moeller-Maersk. The two companies share vessels and move hundreds of thousands of containers each week across the Pacific or to the U.S. East Coast from Asia.

97% of Americans cannot afford a ghetto 800k home in a big city. This means 97% of Americans dont have a high standard of living so all they can afford are cheap junk products. 10% of Americans make up 50% of the consumption. Without the”m cheap chinese junk, americans wouldnt be able to purchase anything.
