>>12254>I know better than you do and trust me you don't want this software even if you wanted to have it because it is bad for you" (even though you are supposed to be in total control of your own PC remember?)In the case of opensourceness, this has lead to better software to be written and worse discarded, otherwise we would still have to deal with old raisin deprecated dependencies and bring them support even after 20 years (ahem dx8) or old codecs, binaries, architectures etceters
>you need to learn an entirely new skill set which is almost useless if you are not working in tech sector but is mandatory if you want to interact with your computerSorta true, due to
(((limitations))), the user experience stagnated a lot after a peak, but right now a lot has changed. Linux desktop is in the middle of a shift to get propper support to tons of new technologies (hdr will be a thing after 10 years imagine). Even then linux (GNU/Linux), is fairly easy to use, but I must admit is not retard proof as, to say, Windows 7
>a linux enthusiast help install and support the niche OS on some laptops and if anything is not working I will just drop by and fix it. Good luck finding support like me or RTFMThis never happened? Also the fact theese machines still operate even after the years it shows the skill and passion after theese years, that doesnt mean its meant to be retard proof (also good luck running anything else without being a hobbyist too)
