I have two early game options to stop my game from being ruined: Find stronger allies/spheres or full siege ottomans until I can take more than just 1 state in the independence war.

So the indian revolt was crushed. Quite easily.
So in the ChinkChew fight I called in almost my entire sphere of north and south america against QQ and Vinland. Vinland took war lead and is a GP.
I've been trying to stop Arcadia from forming diplomatically as hard as I possibly can by keeping Plant and Belgian in my sphere.
So far, it's been working quite well. I won that war and got a colonial region. During the war QQ balkanized and couldnt call in their satellites which made it alot easier.
My allies pressed Vinland for a very generous peace which restored Plant's core as well.
Then that piece of fucking
CACA LIBERIE gave me free infamy for having slaves which I can't abolish because my Upper House is 100% against it.
