GDPNow an unofficial forecast put out by the Atlanta Fed is forecasting a 2025 1st quarter GDP of -2.5

I will post all of the results going back to the 1950s of times of negative and or low quarterly GDP growth for a historical perspective.

Keep an eye on this one. It measures private demand in the domestic economy and is the sum of consumer spending and private fixed investment.

there are plenty of wagejobs out there to make one (barely) survive but there is no real purposeful work out there to make one to thrive. the only other option for young men to make it (it seems) is to gamble. it's the sign of a society without opportunities. the rolemodel for this generation is the crypto rich neet living a quiet and unbothered life. old /biz/ was the headquarter of this crypto-neet idea but with the switch to sojak the board's tone was changed (sign-tapper style) it seems away from gambling (by banning jeets) and again towards more value investor themed assets (which can include solid "meme" coins).
anyways, if real irl work ever comes back this board might die OR actually gave good advice for irl business and entrepreneurs. right now it's stuck somewhere inbetween hence why it's maybe dead in here.
