I need a rundown. Weren't all the mocks saying he was going top 3 just a month ago? Did Sheedurr say something or was it (((media))) insisting his draft value?

Ehhh if Fields can't play behind this O-Line he is not meant for this league worst case we move on and actually draft a qb next year

the latter
he is a mental midget with limited ability who got bailed out constantly by Travis Hunter
his ceiling is post injury RG3 and that’s a bit of a stretch
I’d comp him closer to a J.T Barrett type without the ability to run an option effectively

and you go thru the mocks from 1-2 weeks ago, looks like its been pretty common knowledge for two straight weeks now that Sanders only chance at the first round is the Steelers at #21

In these last week you have big names like Dane Brugler, Adam Rank, Michael Renner, Nate Davis, etc

pack it in, your team already lost and gave up this year

In the older mocks, the only other hope for Sanders was the Saints at #9 but that was shot down on Wednesday when Rapoport confirmed all the reports that the Saints were definitely not taking Sanders at #9, but the mocks having the Saints taking Sanders at #9 had petered out even before then

Pic related is a report from Tuesday that the QB the Saints were interested in was Daxson Dart

>>2640
Thats nfl mock draft database, I just google that with the player i want to check out or with the team i want to check out. So if you want to see what everyone predicted your team would do, you can look at that by team too. It's a must-know resource if you like following the Draft

It's wild we live in an era that so few teams need a QB. Nobody in the NFC has a huge need at QB

>Rams (Matthew Stafford, Jimmy G, Stetson Bennett)

>Seahawks (Sam Darnold, Drew Lock, Sam Howell, Jaren Hall)
>Cards
>49ers

>Saints (Derek Carr, Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener)

>Falcons
>Panthers
>Bucs

>Bears

>Lions
>Vikings
>Packers

>Giants (Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston)

>Cowboys
>Eagles
>Commanders

and in the AFC, only Steelers and Titans have a big need at QB

Steelers (Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson)
>Browns (Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett)
>Bengals
>Ravens

>Bills

>Dolphins
>Jets
>Patriots

>Raiders (Geno Smith, Aidan O'Connell)

>Broncos
>Chiefs
>Chargers

Titans (Will Levis, Brandon Allen, Tim Boyle)

with the Tits getting their guy, now the big question is what are the Steelers going to do at QB? They probably figure since they are the only other team that needs a QB that they can wait until Day 2

He just turned 21 a month ago, so this is the year to start paying attention to him and he's going to be a huge name this upcoming season

As for his u21 years, he did well:
he has thrown for 5,869 yards and 50 touchdowns in his Penn State career. Allar is 21-5 as a Penn State starter and has the highest completion percentage (63.6%) of any quarterback in school history. He also has the highest passing efficiency rating (146.4) and the lowest interception rate (1.16) ever at the school. He has thrown just nine career picks in 773 attempts.

What stands out most about Allar's development is his historic ball security, setting an FBS record with 311 attempts without an interception to start his career. He's maintained that disciplined approach while still pushing the ball downfield, consistently showing the ability to attack all levels of the field. His decision to return for his senior season speaks to his commitment to mastering the nuances of the position before making the leap to the next level.

Among ESPN analysts, Mel Kiper Jr. had Allar No. 4 in his latest quarterback rankings for the upcoming draft, and Jordan Reid put him No. 3 at the position and No. 30 overall. ESPN's Matt Miller also ranked Allar No. 30 overall if he had decided to go out in this draft.

“If Drew went to the draft right now (this draft this weekend), he would probably be drafted somewhere in that 15 to 50 range,” Brugler said. “It’s a large range. But that’s what we’re talking about with a player who clearly has tools and clearly has talent. But you feel like he’s an unfinished product.”

But looking further down the road, Brugler said there’s “no doubt” Allar could be the No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 NFL draft.

“How next year plays out will ultimately decide what the quarterback class looks like,” Brugler said. “But there’s no question Drew has the chance to be QB1. … He’ll be a three-year starter after next year, and other quarterbacks in the draft won’t be able to say that. Going into next year, Drew will be looked at as having as good of a shot as any to be that top quarterback.”

According to Pro Football Focus, Allar’s 84.1 passing grade ranks third-best nationally among quarterbacks in the 2026 draft class. Allar sits behind only Clemson’s Cade Klubnik and SMU’s Kevin Jennings

Allar was integral to the Nittany Lions reaching the CFP and will be crucial as they hope to make a run at the national title. Allar has thrived in his first season working with OC Andy Kotelnicki. Allar has completed 69.1% of his passes for 2,894 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His 8.9 yards per passing attempt ranks ninth in the FBS. Comparatively, Allar’s 6.8 yards per attempt in 2023 ranked 77th nationally.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound signal-caller has been willing and able to scramble. His pocket presence has gotten better. He’s playing more confidently. All of that shows up on tape. So do the areas where Allar has to improve looking ahead to next season.

“He’s a big, impressive player,” Brugler said. “Moves around pretty well for a guy that size. The ball comes out quick and easy. He has all the arm strength you could possibly want. He did a better job this year with having repeatable mechanics, which showed with his accuracy. He was more repeatable in his drops, when he would climb, when he would hit his reads on time.

“Because he is such a talented dude, we saw it in the Big Ten championship game, there were times when he was put off his spot, and he used a crazy arm angle to make a throw."

>Allar is only barely better than Hackenberg was
You can just take a quick glance at their career stats and see that's a retarded comment

Hackenberg should have stayed for his senior year. Allar just turned 21 last month, and is going back for a whole another year of training/improvement. Hackenburg did the opposite, he came out after his junior year, he turned 21 two months before the draft.

Brugler wrote this on Hackenburg:
>He had a promising freshman season at Penn State, but his sophomore and junior seasons were disappointing and were more potential than production as a pro prospect.
Another analyst wrote
>after a promising freshman season, Hackenberg has morphed into a carbon copy of Jay Cutler in all facets such as behavior and arm talent. He has turned into a whiny and petulant little child every time a negative play happens. Also like Cutler, possesses a prodigious arm and very little pocket awareness. Talent is there but attitude is not.
Him being such a diva might have to do with him being born on Valentines Day '95

Hackenberg didn't get drafted Top50

if Allar was in this years draft:
Jordan Reid put him No. 30 overall
Matt Miller also ranked Allar No. 30 overall
Brugler - 15 to 50 range overall
see
>>2677

Compare to what they thought of Hackenberg
Matt Miller - No 100 overall
Brugler - had him rated lower than Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook (who went 100)
Cant find Jordan Reid for 2016 but Lance Zierlein had him #75 overall
