Later in Skyrim they are just as annoying and Delphine is absolutely insufferable and they try to make you kill your friend Partysnax. Aside from their immorality and annoying personality their stupid samurai armor and katanas feel very out of place in these games. It’s some of the dumbest design choice and they even live in these Japanese looking fortresses. Looks stupid af.

They were escorting the emperor of Tamriel while protecting him from assassins who already succeeded in killing his known heirs. You expect them to be all "pardon me"?

It does but I think they're Akaviri style which is very alien to Tamriel natives.

the Blades are the only likeable group of glowies in fiction. Sure, they serve the Emperor and help maintain an Empire, but it's an Empire approved by all the moral gods of the setting and it keeps the infighting between the continent's races and countries to a minimum.

No. Their armour sets look good and their katanas are one of the best looking weapons in Oblivion and Skyrim.
