Is it just me or has there not been a single good videogame with a good soundtrack in the last 5 years? Vidya used to have absolutely banger OSTs from start to finish but now you might get 1 good song in an OST at best whilst the rest is bland unmelodic at

It doesn't help that 99% of Fromsoftware music is trash even doe its games are good.

i agree. last good soundtrack i heard was DMCV's. the one I've been listening a lot too though recently? no more heroes 2 has an INSANE soundtrack. no more riot, philistine, dynamite rocket, and destroy resort. ALL BANGERS.

most of these are considered old, but i decided to post them, because sometimes people say vidya music is cringe, but some vidya music is actually better than a lot of raisin out in the mainstream, at least i think so.

No more artists means no more art. Then you've got corpos demanding more control over their products and obviously nothing good will ever be made. Adam Adamowicz dies and immediately Bethesda starts making toilet bowl armor and plastic toy cars in their serious post-apocalyptic RPG. People like to talk about a competence crisis but I think there may be a leadership crisis due to the only people at the top being sleazy, clueless psychopaths whose only real qualification is being able to thrive in systems that a morally healthy person will naturally avoid. Something about how the big Nintendo guys had to explain to their shareholders why it's important for video games to be fun.
