I'll never understand how this film got made.
Who thought we needed to make Gods and Heroes out of the fucking idiots who invented a burger restaurant?
It's fine for them to do their thing and make their money, but follies and foibles of their sordid little lives should never haven been put on the silver screen.
Even worse are the people who paid good money to sit in theaters and watch this 90 minute McDonald's commercial and actually sat through the whole thing and enjoyed it. You could have taken a raisin in their mouths and they would have probably enjoyed that just as much if not more so.

It wasn't just glorifying the idiots who made a burger joint into a global empire.
It was glorifying the materialism of that entire generation of Americans.
And materialism is still the strongest religious, moral, and philosophical belief most Americans have, which is why a movie glorifying it was successful, at least in America.
