Family guy also worked better as an absurd comedy rather than some "intellectual satire". Most people jumped ship from south park after the creators got tds but the overt messaging was pretty offputting early on and detracted from funny bits.

South Park was peak comedy for me when I was 14. Now I'm 23 and South Park can't make me laugh anymore (even the older seasons), but I do watch Family Guy occasionally.

Both are bad but south park at least kinda has some meaning in certain places, family gay just sucks and the humor is never funny nor does it ever relate to whatever recycled plotline the new episode is aimed around.
