Bebop, Dandy, Lazarus are always the four Horseman as main characters plus a sacrificial lamp. Bebop was about 90s geopolitics, Dandy was the GWOT and Lazarus is "Death of Globalism" .

Spike, Dandy and Doug are Death, usually dying at the end of the series.

Jet, QT and Axel are War, Jet retired, QT is alive and Axel is young and broke out.

Faye, Meow and Christine are Pestilence, Faye always broke and a slut, Meow a social media junkie, Christine a lying and superficial influencer.

Ed, Scarlett, Eleira are Hunger, Ed a Hacker, Scarlett an Inspector and Eleira another Hacker, all very data hungry.

Ein, Honey and Leland are the sacrificial lamp. Ein is Hongkong going back to Chinese, Honey(pot) is a bait and Leland well we have to see the end of series.

Vicious is Fascism killing democracy in Russia, Julia. Dr. Gel is the patriot act and a terrorist always on the mind of democracy his ship, and Skinner is dead because globalism is too.

I liked Cowboy Bebop, thought it had a nice setting, good art and a great soundtrack.

I hated Samurai Champloo. Felt like niggers in ancient Japan and the story felt raisin.

I thought Space Dandy was more of a gag anime and didn't get into it, but didn't mind it.

Lazarus has an interesting premise, but the animation style and characters make it look to me like "Netflix told the guy from Cowboy Bebop to make some woke bull for them." and that's kinda what it is. Screech at me I'm totally wrong if you're a shill, but that's what it looks like. And I got too much other stuff I'm actually enjoying to give this a shot when the animation looks inferior to raisin he made decades ago.

Hopefully we can get some more chuds interested in this show.

The baclava scene was comfy.

I agree the style and animation doesn't look as good as Bebop or Champloo. Maybe it's a byline of doing anime in 2025, they just don't know how to make it beautiful?
