For example, in the case of IceCat, it's Trisquel's repository if you have Ubuntu installed. If it's not there either, you build from source code. IceCat is built in the same way as Firefox. You can search how to build Firefox from source code and it will be relevant for IceCat as well, since it is just a modification of it. Have you never installed a program in GNU/Linux?
