i have been using ai for my comp sci degrees math course, which covers an absurd amount of math that id never seen until now, calc, differential equations, trig and its identities, etc.
my uni is setup so you have in person exams you have to sit, which has been a good excuse to try and develop a comprehensive / intuitive understanding of mathematics, and gpt pro subscription has been saving my ass for asking complex personalised learning hangups - but is there a better one? its hit a point where the results it provides for textbook q's are functionally correct but the explanations can be very dry or require multiple followups that effectively repeat myself. what have others found is effective for LEARNING?

Deepseek o algo.
What do you plan to use mathematics for?

in the long term to be able to immerse myself in quantum computing or other fringe unique areas, nuclear, etc. in the short term to complete my course / degree. overall i want to have a solid foundation in something that as i see it is fundamentally important and versatile, discipline for something hard to learn though that alone doesnt make me want to do it. ill peep that deep seek model, ive recently tried feeding chatgpt deep research mode upcoming quiz topics / past papers, workshops and a weeks topic index and asking it to make me a day plan for learning whats nesseary to solve equations in the coming test without assistance and thats surprisingly good. cause i can just ask it to check my working out and give comment

to me it feels like its just a refined form of cramming though, currently on differential equations having come off integrals and moving into second order differentials.
