Lawfag here. I can’t stand people with their petty bullraisin anymore so I want to radically change my subject. I’m thinking of getting a 2 yr retrain to a code monkey while part-time studying for a bachelor’s in computer science and master’s in AI.

I know that it means starting from 0, half a decade of raisinty payment etc., don’t bother me with that. What I need to know is if that would be a wise choice prospect-wise or will I have to compete with ChatGPT graduates (jeets) and would barely make a living.

It's definitely a good idea to go from one oversaturated field to another chasing money while taking out lots of loans.

Lmao. I won’t be taking out loans. I’m not an American. In fact, I’ll be even getting money to cover my expenses. Elaborate on the oversaturation though in contexts of demographic change and expanding market for automation, digitalisation, ai n shiet.

Apart from Siemens, Germany has basically no computer engineering. Also no relevant small and middle sized enterprises in this field.

We’re currently mass importing Indians to fill the jobs.

Just double-checked it again. That’s actually a great idea! And also aligns more with my interests.

So I’ve heard too. However, especially big employers and the government require a formal university degree otherwise you’d earn less despite doing the very same job as a code monkey,
