Type 1: The Elitist

>uses gentoo, arch or self compiled linux distro with no stability or actual use, because all he does is watch hentai, and waste 12 hours compiling it and ricing it just to make it look useless on the back

>probably a neovim nocoder, mostly spends his time editing configs for dwm and other useless shit that doesn't even serve a purpose and thinks what he does will make him a superior programmer but its the opposite.

>hates windows, macos, even some linux distros because he believes its LE BLOATED and doesnt work on his shit stinkpad from 2006, will probably argue against you about it because le bloat and security issues!!1

>probably got fired from his job because he refused to use tools and windows that is required for his work, the biggest piece of shit you will ever see. Arrogant, Prideful, against the contrarian society because he believes it would make him unique and a connoisseur but in reality he is a disappointment. Will probably autistically infodump about troonix philosophy and his linux distro ricing on you.

>Probably hated by everyone, even his parents. Extremely autistic and complex characteristics. Annoying personality. And overall is a piece of shit in general.

Type 2: The Enthusiast

>uses a functional and stable distro made by corporations or actual computer developers, doesn't care about themes or looks, all he cares is usefulness, stability and functionality. Uses mint, debian, fedora, ubuntu or other just werks distros.

>actually gets some work done, codes in emacs, vim, VScode, or other functional IDE's. Is a sophisticated linux user, tinkers with distros for fun, contributes to various projects and is highly well known from other communities, and uses linux outside of his work as a hobby.

>doesn't care which OS you use, as long as it works for you, that's what matters to him. Doesn't care about resource usage or minimalism because he actually uses a modern and functional computer that is blazingly fast.

>highly respected by multiple people in his work, uses windows and tools that is required for his work and doesn't complain about it. Efficient and excellent in his job. Uses linux outside of his work, continuously contributes and learns new stuff each day to the point he will become a computer dev. His knowledge on programming and linux probably contributed to his work.

>Probably the nicest guy you will ever meet, loved and adored by many, even his own family. Acts like a normal person, humble and calm. He is probably the reason why your distro is functional and stable due to his contributions.

>the tranny
actually uses linux as a work environment because xhe thinks "le cia spying on me" is more of a problem then half of programs not working
>the sysadmin
uses linux as it's intended to deploy low-profile servers or containers intended for a single purpose

alpine proves that gentoo and arch aren't unstable because they're not luser friendly
rolling release is mental disease

 β„–27274[Quote]

all distros use the same kernel and gnu utils so I still refuse to recognize any difference between distros

Linux Mint broke more times on my machine than Gentoo. (it happened once as opposed to never GEG)
