The pi still only exists because people have developed the most for it, and there aren't many alternatives that offer as much support, maybe an orange pi, if you have money get a Jetson if you're autistic and want to do machine learning stuff

i have an orangepi at home and i've handled banana pis at work in the past, back when the RPi prices skyrocketed.
like the other guy says the support is far from great. this applies to all chink SBCs.
the real value behind the RPi is the "googleability" and all the stuff that has been already developed for it. my suggestion would be, get a cheap RPi. you can find RPis 3 and 4 for fair prices these days. your mental sanity and comfyness is worth more than the 10€ you would save by getting a ChinkPi.

ESP32 boards are good alternatives to raspberry pi pico with 2.4 GHz wifi and bluetooth 5 and is also more powerful specs wise and also also they are cheap as fuck

It's a shame the pi is so overpriced. Don't overlook the old versions though, they may still be useful.
