Jokes aside, probably not over. As long as: you are not diagnosed with cancer, going to jail, or received registered mail from a lawyer then it is NOT over.
Note how i said "NOT OVER", i didn't say "fine" as fine can vary from person to person. You are going to have to live your life, begrudgingly at first. I know that will be difficult as the world has changed drastically. IT does NOT have to be unpleasant.
You guys, are good at thinking, but never had the chance to learn how to utilize this. I evangelize goal setting here, because it works. You have to sit down, and think about where you are, how you got here, what you like and don't like, then where you want to be.
The problem is the "where you want to be, and where you can reasonably be" I'd love to have a mansion on a private island with a harem of women from every race. That's a fantasy NOT a dream. A dream is something achieved by goals, a fantasy is not something you can reasonably work towards. IT took me a long time to figure out that difference. No one sat me down and explained it to me, so either i never got the memo for that class, or society does not know the difference between dreams and fantasies. I think it's the latter, and that's scary.
So ask yourself "where can you reasonably be"? "what do you have to do to get there?" "what's in your way?" "is that an obstacle or something i have not utilized?". You may find that you have held yourself back, not out of self sabotage but because you were not following your dreams, but a fake dream forced on you. Once you find your dream, something will click, and just chasing it will be pleasant.
Things don't go our way, and more often than not that's a good thing. If i got a nickel for every company that rejected my resume then laid people off a year later, i would not need to work, i would have that island i talked about. But then again, i don't think i would be happy on that island either.
