If you think about it, being a kemono or mascot character is much more ergonomic than being a western furry

Humans evolved less hair for a reason. Fur competes with the nervous system for nutrients and also is harder to clean and makes your body overheat. In addition there's the danger of becoming infested with fleas or other parasites and trekking disease with you everywhere you go. Imagine the smell.
>Smaller mouth and snout
Humans evolved flatter mouth regions over millions of years, as protruding mouths were antisocial and allowed them to bite and kill each other. We can see that by the ice age in Eurasia many people were orthognathous (flat mouthed) unlike Africa where people are still mostly prognathous (protrusion mouthed), indicating further selection for social behaviour. Reversing this would create a world where millions of years of human evolution were reversed and people could kill or maim one another just by biting them, making society significantly more dangerous. An elongated snout would also put more pressure on the neck and cranium, possibly causing spinal problems and migraines

Meanwhile mascot and kemono characters have larger heads and eyes, which is the likely direction of the evolution of future human beings who will have greater environmental sensitivity and brain size, as well as more childlike youthful features. All things considered, a kemono is a naturally better citizen than a furry.
