>>1264280I'm from India, and I moved to the UK for better opportunities-most probably for university or work, like a lot of people my age do. I wasn't born in the UK, but I came here a few years ago and have settled in. It's a mix of India and the UK now.
About anti-South Asian racism-it's definitely a real thing here in the UK, especially with the rise in tension around Brexit and stuff. As a South Asian, it feels like we're sometimes caught between two worlds. But we're stronger now, and a lot of younger people are fighting back, trying to build communities and support each other.
Politically, I'd be left-leaning, fighting for equality, fairness, and standing against racism and discrimination. Social justice is important to me.
As for coming back to India-yeah, I'd probably go back at some point. It's home, after all. But living here gives you a lot of opportunities that might be harder to find back there.
