Wasn't a joke, just wanted to post that song, which is really good.

I love this nonsense album even though the band itself doesn't

It was their last album supervised by Norman Smith of Beatles production/engineering fame, and I think it's a great send-off to their psychedelic era, after the flop of the studio side of Ummagumma. It sounds amazing, however there are lackluster moments and stuff I skip over particularly reprises and tracks of the AHM Suite. Summer '68 is alright, better than Remember a Day but not great or that relistenable. If and Fat Old Sun are pretty good, the former being the superior track. And Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast is more or less leftovers but still highly enjoyable, if not for some of the over abundance of sfx like the munching through half of Sunny Side Up, which makes it a tad annoying. But other than that the song is great, just nice languid mellow psych rock. I rather like their instrumental tracks when they're really standout.

Also I'll say that while the studio side of Ummagumma wasn't that strong of an album per say, certain tracks and sides of tracks are still enjoyable and ones I return to. They're all sandwiched together on the album, but the first half of Sysyphus Part 4, Roger Water's two songs, and The Narrow Way are all good in their own ways, particularly Waters' Grantchester Meadows.

AHM is the only track I ever revisit and I don't skip any of it. The second half is alright except for the breakfast song which is ruined for me by the annoying parts you mentioned

The second half of Funky Dung gets on my nerves when the vocals start back up that lead into the reprise of Father's Shout. And I dislike the weird experimental part even though it has some interesting bits. And the other parts are either reprises or parts I don't return to as often, despite not being that bad, like Mother Fore or the finale, the latter always seemed a bit try hard, like trying to outdo A Day in the Life's grandiosity or something. But they were still toying around with ideas so whatever. As far as Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast, I actually just cut the song up myself using Audacity so I can skip the sound collage parts and get to the actual songs, which are quite good. I particularly like the guitar solo in Rise and Shine as well as Morning Glory. And I like the sound effects for the latter and how it will loop if played on a vinyl record, similar to Sgt. Pepper's runout groove.

I like AHM I bought it on vinyl today

AHM is like a warm blanket for me that conjures up strange images in my head like no other song. It feels like ghosts in a derelict theater are singing and playing for me while I explore backstage if that makes sense. Echoes is like that too, just a comforting song I can listen for 23 minutes doing some chore. Although I think echoes is a much better song, AHM makes me imagine things like no other music has

It is overall. It does the same things but more sophisticated and with more direction. The 'funky' part is also really groovy and top notch compared to Funky Dung, although I prefer the latter more in a way. Gilmour just shreds like a beast on it and I like all the riffs and noodling he does more than on Echoes. Echoes has some great work from him though and the effects make it sound awesome.

Based, what copy/edition?

A hard pill to swallow. PinkF is a trust fund band.

Roger Waters dad died in a Baskin Robbins factory, that's what The Wall is about.
