I still enjoyed it for the most part, just thought it wasn't as tightly written as season 1. felt like they were padding for time with superfluous plotlines and characters acting weirdly. you pretty much could have condensed the first 9 episodes into 30 minutes, tacked it onto the finale, and released it as a movie and it would have been just as effective.
how they handled Irving was the biggest disappointment to me, but like you say they might just be saving more of his plot for season 3. Lumon kind of felt less competent this season too.
anyway it was still decent and better than most modern tv, just not as good as season 1.
