I was an anarchist fag at the time, but both the left and right were much more libertarian back then. Everyone believed in freedom of expression to some degree, took deep care of sharing stuff/archiving stuff, piracy was huge and almost a duty, if you didn't liked a community you could have fucked off somewhere else.
Then it happened what it happened, everyone cucked out in fear of allowing "hateful" groups to take holds, and chose to close themselves in a strict safe space while raiding/reporting everyone they didn't like, removing and cancelling everything they didn't like. Basically everyone got counght inside an histerical zeitgeist and became a schizo.

The entire population lives just in fear because the west has a fragile ego, and that's why narcissism is so rampant nowdays, inflated by social network feed as well.

What I really hate is modern games being incredibly bloated and full of needless bullraisin like skill trees and level progression. It's especially egregious in modern asscreeds since they flat out make enemies unkillable after a certain level difference. I swear all the big devs heard fags like Angry Joe complaining about a 4 hour runtime and thought the solution is to endlessly pad their games. It's to the point that I love a simple 4-6 hour game I can bang out in an afternoon or weekend, it means I don't need to treat the game like a second job

I find more often that I by and large do not like RPG's, simply because most of them have RPG mechanics shoe horned in where they simply do not belong, gradually infecting all other genres so they focus on extrinsic rewards rather that intrinsic ones, which over time will result in a loss in quality for games that are in the premium market. There is a reason why all of these new mobile games use RPG mechanics, as they need to give you a reason to play that isn't due to the gameplay itself(the gameplay is dograisin). In action RPGS, this means gating the fun game mechanics until later on, and or turning all of the enemies into damage sponges(particularly egregious in RPGs with guns). The only action RPGS that I have enjoyed are Team Ninja ones like Nioh or SoP. Those games do a genuinely good job at integrating RPG mechanics and progression without completely ruining the combat. They use higher stated enemies on higher difficulties while dropping better gear with more unique effects, pushing the player to personalize their combat playstyle the further they get in the game(with the endgame NG++++ looking almost like a different game). This is great and more studios should do this. Another good example is Gothic 1/2. These games utilize RPG mechanics in a different way, they aren't pseudo action games like the Team Ninja ones, but they maintain the sense of progression that classic RPGs have(harsh progression that modern game designers lack balls to do), while also expecting the player to learn and master the combat system as they play the game. I've been playing the Archolos mod and its been fun.
