If I lived somewhere that would allow me to like Denmark or Finland I would just collect my citizen's unemployment for all my life and live in an apartment. I don't really want to participate in modern Western society. If I "made something of myself" and went to university for a degree in history it would be constant indoctrination into the neoliberal materialist hegemony, and my only feasible career would be as a history professor; Which is fine per se, but as concerns the current situation, in both of these endeavours I would have to utterly castrate myself in order to survive and not be permanently ostracised or fired.
Not OP btw just sharing my thoughts.
