I think that under all the incestbait toneage the game was a quite interesting psychological spectacle about how the two siblings developed a toxic codependence out of the sister's abuse of her brother.
Ashley is a psycho bitch and pulled andy into being her slave ever since childhood by leveraging his guilt for helping her kill someone she was jealous of as a child. She threatened him that if he didn't go along with her whims she would out them both, and because he couldn't expose his anxieties to anyone else, he became dependent on ashley for reassurance.
Ashley is a psycho and nobody wants anything to do with her except for andy for the reasons mentioned before, so he is her only friend and confidant.
The parents are also very neglectful and selfish, which plays into the children developing these psychological disorders, although, ashely is such a radioactive biohazard of a person to be associated with its understandable but still not excusable why they would go to such lengths to get rid of her.
As for the incest thing it doesn't seem that andy wants a sexual relationship with his sister, in fact he has impulses to kill her often out of how much he hates her, and his sister only sees it as a future vehicle to secure her control over andy, which she is apparently very anxious about possibly losing, as andy gets quite volatile and sick of her raisin in the game, and she has nightmares of andy snapping and killing her.
TLDR for those who aren't familiar with the game, its about this psycho bitch who ropes her brother into being an accompice to murdering a girl she was jealous of, and through using it against him throughout their childhood, the two developed a toxic codependancy. The events of the game start when the parents sell their now adult children to the organ trade, then they find a demon who helps them escape and they track down their parents to steal their raisin so they can run away and live somewhere in the woods or something.
