Touhou?? Idk that story shish but it's bullet hell. They also made like 2 fighting games. Pretty sure it's a single guy that made all of the games too.

Bullet hell game. Creator lets others use the IP for free, this is what led to its popularity. AFAIK anyone can make a touhou title without paying any money, not sure if you have to credit the guy. I have not played or read/watched any of it myself.

The actual games are pretty generic. But it's gained a massive cult following (espceically touhou 6). Mostly cause of the cute anime girls and the music.
