they are kinda gimicky, they work but sometimes a but finicky. i had a rare breed one; sold it. squeeze trigger too tight and it seized up which was weird. barely hit trigger and then it would dump 30 real fucking fast

i work at a gun range and like 1 in two dozen people use a super safety or FRT. they arent illegal as much as ATF wants them to be. further, ATF just got cut in fucking half pretty much to go work with ICE or something. i doubt they can even handle regular investigations at this time so you can forget about a fedtrap unless you are someone important.

that said i wouldnt go bragging about it online or anything, but they arent illegal. from what ive seen the super safeties work better than the standard FRTs; but you chance out of battery detonations and on top of that its just not true full auto which is nice i guess.

the short of it is, i got one, shot 4 mags through it, and meh…..i sold it

Yeah the ATF hates em lol, they're the bureau of "Assholes That hate Fun", but thankfully FRTs and Super Safeties are safe for now. The SS seems to be closer to what I was looking at, where you can just hold the trigger down and it'll go. Not a fan of it being printed but hey, can't win at everything. Wish there was a Super Safety with the proper selector switch so it more accurately fits my build but I suppose I can't win at everything. I think I'll stick with a SS rather than spending $400-ish bucks on an FRT since I'll already be $1500 in the hole for this build at the very least. Your input is good to have though. I'm not usually one to brag about my raisin online, I do have a small presence but I agree it's best not to chance it

and dont be swayed by printed parts. PTR just came out with the vent suppressor and its titanium printed and is the best .30cal can on the market IMO. alot of companies are also printing with inconel so dont be dismayed by the "3d print" tag always

I recognize there are some pretty sweet printed parts and kits out there, I follow PSR on Twitter and see some of the stuff he reposts. I didn't know printed suppressors were viable yet but just shows how intelligent people can be when trying to give The Man a nice long "fuck you". I've also seen the Plastikovs and other mostly printed kits out there, I find them very fascinating. I'm just a sucker for all-steel/metal construction. Makes me think I need to actually pull the trigger on a 3D printer so I can join in on the fun, I just need to do my research. The unfortunate thing is I'm a little retarded so I don't get a full grasp on all of this, and I fear if I ask too many questions people will think I'm a glowie XD. But thanks for the advice man!

start with printing things like pic rail sights, mounts, magazine parts like the floor plate, bullet holders, etc. start with small things first

i coudlnt give you one, but the materials and printers have come along way. most folks i know used an ender or something

Get a hoffman super safety, you can find kits for 60-120 bucks depending on if you modify your own trigger. Every other FRT I've tried sucked balls
