I can then use this to fire a slug in an emergency (probably at the cost of my wrist but at least not my life– God willing). Thoughts?

The reason why you could fire it in folded, is for the sake of concealment and carry, say for example you are in emergency type situation and you need to get your shotgun out

shooting a pistol grip 12 gauge without a stock isnt hard. i rock a 590 shockwave all day and they work just fine with the birdshead grip

i do miss the 2 1/4 shells though, they were very fucking nice and you could pack an extra one or 2 in the magazine tube
