Whenever I think about the different European peoples as a whole, I feel this strange mix of pride and conflict. Some of them, we lithies are deeply tied to through history, wars, alliances, betrayals. The PolskiBROS family-drama aside, have always been our closest brothers. The only ones we could truly ever rely on, even if we occasionally wanted to strangle each other at the family table.

But when you zoom out and look at the European empires as a whole.. the Brits with their globe-spanning dominance, the French with their eternal revolution spirit and flair, the Spanish and their firebrand legacy overseas, the Russians with that almost genetic will to suffer and keep going no matter what, the Germans with their history that veers between divine order and unhinged chaos, the Dutch with their terrifyingly efficient money magic and strategic brilliance—it really does feel like Christ Himself handed each of them a script. wholesomegemwholesomegem Like every European nation was given a role to play in the grand theater of civilization. trvke

And I refuse to believe this is the end. Not in a world where mediocrity thrives and values rot. There will be another Renaissance. Maybe not tomorrow, may haps not in our lifetime, but its coming. Something in our blood remembers how to build, how to lead, how to rise. fact fact

microjaklover !##CORRECTION! microjaklover ( just realized that the $200,000 per capita figure applies only to the (((peasants))). But considering that the majestic Commonwealth has exactly 7,030,000 nobles who are seriously wealthy niggas 💀 the actual nominal GDP per capita for the entire population is $442,000. + keeping in mind inflation in 2044 A.D.)
microjaklover !##CORRECTION! microjaklover
$200,000/year applies only to the peasants (82% of the population).
Nobles (18% of the population, or 7.03 million people) are much wealthier — and now we know the true GDP per capita for all citizens should be $442,000.
The Szlachta nobility alone account for a whopping $10.86 trillion of GDP now that’s aristocracy. Liquid gemmys indeed. :b
microjaklover !##CORRECTION! microjaklover

✅ Final Numbers:
^GDP per capita: $442,000
39.068118 × 442,000 = $17,268,120,156,000
Final Nominal GDP: ≈ $17.27 trillion USD

Look how awesome shartyTEENs' Milord and sovereign Dool truly is. jig jig A total expert in communications and a modern forklift tech wizard, always guarding and protecting his teens. Compared to 4chan pedos and those unhinged, self absorbed coomer Hindu grapeapes, the difference is like night and day. Remember, 4cucks, even if your creepy little nest comes back, some 'teen will probably just shut it down again for fun. The whole code got leaked. So many vulnerabilities.

Long live Dool, the great American patriot probably from the great State of Massachusetts or something. In the near future, around the year 2044 A.D., when the glorious neo-Sarmatian-neo-Pretorian Commonwealth is fully consolidated and at its peak again, Dool due to his sheer intellect will rise as the sole Emperor of the American Empire, ushering in a Second Renaissance within the U.S.

Of course femboys reign eternal—not just in Polska, my beloved ❤️, but in Baltia too, where the air smells of birch sap and unbothered androgyny. This land? It's built different. And Vytukas the Great?
Man was ahead of his time. He wasn’t just fighting wars—he was cosplaying through them. Velvet-lined strategy, fur-trimmed dominance. The man knew a sharp jawline and a sharper blade could win battles. He didn’t just survive—he served. While the Teutons were busy writing grim prayers, Vycka was out there in layered drips and divine femininity, saving the realm with a wink and a warhorse. fact

Vytautas the Great and Duchess Anna – the Most Influential Couple of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania

Influential couples, also called power couples, are not just a phenomenon in today’s culture – such couples have always existed. An influential couple can be defined as the union of two strong, intelligent, and ambitious people. Many stories and films have been made about such couples: the Roman general Caesar and the Egyptian Pharaoh Cleopatra, the legendary criminals Bonnie and Clyde, the American President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis, artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, musicians Beyonce and Jay Z, social media celebrity Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West are just a few world-famous examples. There have also been many influential couples in Lithuanian history, including the Grand Duke of Lithuania Vytautas and his wife, Duchess Anna.

Vytautas the Great (1350–1430) is the most famous ruler of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (GDL). He was a great soldier and a skillful politician, he fought for the independence of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, expanded his estates and even managed to defeat the eternal enemy – the German Order – at the Battle of Grunwald in 1410.

Duchess Anna/Ona the wife of Vytautas the Great, was no less important and influential. She helped Vytautas escape from the captivity of the Order and signed important political agreements including the Astrava Agreement in 1392, which made Vytautas the Grand Duke of Lithuania. She also frequently participated in signing of agreements with the Order. Anna’s example proves that, even in the Middle Ages, a woman could become an influential political figure – she was, of course, from a very noble family, educated and clever. wholesomeheart wholesomeheart

The most impressive story about Vytautas and Anna, mentioned in history textbooks, sounds like an episode from an adventure novel wew, although it is a real event recorded in historical sources. In 1377, after the death of Algirdas, the uncle of Vytautas, a power struggle arose between Vytautas and Jogaila, who then took the throne as Grand Duke of Lithuania. In 1382, Vytautas was taken into captivity near Trakai by Jogaila and the German Order, and imprisoned in Kreva Castle. The Duke escaped from captivity with the help of his wise wife soytan. The story about the escape from Kreva Castle is described in the chronicles trvke as follows:

>Grand Duke Vytautas was kept in a strictly guarded chamber in Kreva Castle, and two women would come in to prepare the Duchess’ bed, watched by the guards. The Grand Duchess heard from the people that if the Grand Duke Vytautas were to remain in captivity for much longer, the same thing would happen to him as to his father (Vytautas’ father Kęstutis had been killed). And then she gave him this advice: when those women come to prepare the bed again, change into the clothes of one and go out with the other. Vytautas followed his wife's advice, dressed in the clothes of one woman and went out with the other, and when he left the castle, he fled to the Germans in Prussia.

^Finally, in 1392, after a long and indecisive war, Vytautas regained the Duchy of Trakai and the estates of his father Kęstutis. He was also recognised as the representative of Jogaila in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and gained control of Vilnius, the capital. Soon he began to call himself the Grand Duke of Lithuania, and his power was recognised by the rulers of other countries.

Yes—there are historical hints and descriptions suggesting that Vytautas the Great was seen as having a refined or even somewhat delicate appearance, at least by the standards of medieval chroniclers. fact

For example, in Jan Długosz's chronicles (a major Polish medieval historian), Vytautas is described with admiration, noting his graceful posture, noble bearing, and striking looks. While not outright calling him “feminine,” the emphasis on elegance and physical beauty stands out, especially compared to the rugged, brutal warrior archetypes of the time.

In medieval codes, where masculinity was often measured by raw aggression and scar-covered mugs, describing a duke with elegance, polish, and charm could easily come across as somewhat androgynous or “feminine” to modern readers. And yet, this didn’t diminish Vytautas’s power—in fact, it amplified it. He was both deadly and dashing.

So while there’s no record of him rocking silk stockings under the armor (unfortunately), it’s totally fair—especially in a modern reinterpretation—to paint Vytautas as the ultimate regal prettyboy who could crush enemies and make a statement doing it. transheart trvke

Sorry for the quick historical detour—I'll get back to the Commonwealth's Declaration of Bills once I’m home. squirrel

The new Tucker episode is probably gonna be Kino.
Remember legendary interview with Putin like a year and a half ago.. right after watching it—everyone got hyped up over how he rambled like a boss for two hours about Russian history, dropping monologue and all that but most people completely missed the part where Tucker straightup asked him about God and Christianity. And how he immediately squirmed out of it, straightup admitted he doesnt believe, just said maybe there’s “something” that gave everything a beginning. Gnostic-influenced KGB pig-faced bastard.

In my dumb little foreigner opinion, the real Russia was and always will be the princes and Dukes who defied logic and population numbers just like us soytan Novgorod, Kiev, not the Moscow swine who forces his will.

So I wonder… out of all these powerful countries, is there even a single president who actually believes?

Well yeah. Theres the Don, but that old guy is slippery as hell. Still, at least hes mentioned Christ’s name more than once and flat-out said He’s the final boss.. But he’s also done some weird stuff. Literally keeps the hands off the Bible in some instances, Jewish handlers always around… Same with Putin, he shows up to those Church services and liturgies, but it’s a real question how sincere it is when the man literally said he doesn’t believe.

Yea. Power corrupts

By the way, whether (((you))) like it or not, this is what the actual future looks like. fact Poland with Baltia — we’re taking those 8 Russian oblasts, and there’s nothing or anyone (((you))) can do about it. Pool’s closed. The deal’s already been made. We’ll take good care of that 277,100 km² of land, no need to worry. fact dancingswede

For comparison — in case the rest of you manage to stay intact and not get shattered after the 3rd Impact — Russia’s remaining territory will be:

17,098,246 km² - 277,100 km² = 16,821,146 km²

yeah still absolutely massive. But that little piece we’re claiming? It’s ours now. colorjak trvke
Even then, just one mega-oblast like Krasnoyarsk Krai, sitting at 2,366,797 km², is still bigger than the entire sacred ancient Commonwealth.

So stay calm, and be at peace, dear neighbors.

Fitting the entire Declaration of Bills onto this scroll in a beautiful, stylized font is pure hell. Or maybe I’m just not skilled enough with GIMP yet. The struggle continues, but I’ll get there eventually.

Do you feel that way about non-European countries? What you said was pretty cool. Every nation on earth has its special purpose, role, and legacy designated by God. Maybe if this doesn't apply to all nations, it could apply to non-European Christian nations. I think the best example would be the US. They are surely given a great role by God, looking at their history and current power in the world.

Yeah, I do. at least for some of them. Like most soyTEENs, I’m definitely biased and subjective about certain topics. Honestly, I see islam and hinduism, at least on a state level as harmful madness, even if they’ve had important roles in history. Not to mention rogue jewish sects. The whole idea of sacred cows, bizarre rituals involving feces, and blue twelve headed elephant demon alien deities just feels insane. And then there's islam, with a pedo prophet who, comes off like he was roleplaying a fallen angel’s mouthpiece. It’s too much.
Whenever (((you))) look at those societies.. this is one of the rare times where generalizations actually make sense and are useful.

I agree with you about the U.S. its influence and importance in the world are undeniable. Respect to Mongolia and its history. If only some of your cousins or something the other 'stans under Russian influence could drop the islamic grapes and reconnect with their turkic steppe roots, maybe blended with Christianity or Buddhism. That’d be a huge step forward. One can only hope.

I agree, there are superior and inferior cultures. Historically a superior culture always comes from followinc Christianity, and an inferior culture comes out of worshipping some false religion.
>If only some of your cousins or something the other 'stans under Russian influence could drop the islamic grapes and reconnect with their turkic steppe roots, maybe blended with Christianity or Buddhism.
I don't think buddhism is a good religion, the historical impact it had here was pretty bad. Buddhism is pretty much just abandoning desire and ambition in life, because life is meaningless or something. Here in Mongolia, most people don't even understand what the religion is supposed to teach, what it means, and they just blindly put some Buddhist decorations and carry around some hindi scripture, because it makes them "enlightened". And the Buddhist "religion" is just a decoration here, not a belief that people genuinely follow. But for the rest of the text, I agree.

Yes, I'm personally a Christian. In Mongolia, there are a lot of religions, but I think Christianity will replace them. The 2 most popular religions, Buddhism and shamanism, are not really followed but rather cultural things people vaguely believe in. They don't offer much purpose, meaning and strength as Christianity does.

I just really hope the baboon apes, deranged old farts running the world, and whatever’s left of our le human fabric can actually reach some kind of conclusion in these times. Ideally, one that kicks off a proper reset. not through conquest and destruction, but through a renaissance.

Modern warfare is absolutely unhinged, the tech is next-level, and way too many people are straightup insane. It's honestly hard to even picture what this would look like if it all hit the fan on a global scale.

L I T H I H O R S E S 🐎🐎

small but ancient, like grandma's iron pot dancingswededancingswede

Žemaitukas – The OG Baltic pony. Been around since knights were still arguing over whose cross was shinier. Compact, stubborn, and built like a tank on espresso.
One of the oldest known horse breeds in Europe, dating back over a thousand years. Small, sturdy, great for riding, light work, and endurance. Deeply tied to Lithuanian identity and culture.
Lithuanian Heavy Draught – Thicc farm lad. Bred to pull trees, wagons, or (((your))) ego. Probably listens to folk metal and lifts logs for fun.
Developed through crossbreeding local stock with Ardennes, Percheron, and other heavy horses. Bred for agricultural and forestry work.
Bonus: (((You))) might spot Trakehners, Arabians, and sport horses, but they’re like fancy expats – not locals.
While only two breeds are officially recognized as native, there are other horse populations and crossbreeds in Lithuania, such as:
Trakehners – Originally from East Prussia (near Lithuania), sometimes bred locally.
Arabians, Warmbloods, and mixed sport breeds – Used for competition, leisure, and riding schools.
Hucul horses – Occasionally found in Lithuanian highlands; originally from the Carpathians, but valued for their hardiness.

Žemaitukas and the Lithuanian Heavy Draught are the only officially native breeds, Lithuania does have a broader horse culture that includes both regional and imported bloodlines, especially in sport and recreational horse circles.

Konik – Polska’s icon. scrappy forest horse. Basically a prehistoric model with Wi-Fi. Lives in nature reserves and doesn’t pay rent.
Descended from hardy horses in the Biłgoraj region; name means "small horse" in Polish. Small (130–140 cm), dun-colored with primitive markings, robust and adaptable.
Employed in conservation grazing projects across Europe to maintain natural habitats.
Wielkopolski – Athletic sport chad. Jumps, prances, probably does Pilates.
Created by merging the Poznan and Mazury breeds in the 1960s. Versatile sport horse, used in dressage, show jumping, and eventing.
Silesian – The heavyweight champ. Pulls plows or carriages with equal grace.
Developed in the Silesia region by crossbreeding local mares with Oldenburger and other warmblood stallions. Large, muscular, suitable for both riding and harness work.
Małopolski – light, elegant, secretly part Arabian. Likes long trots on the beach.
Developed in Lesser Poland by crossing native horses with Arabian and Thoroughbred bloodlines. Light riding horse with good stamina and temperament; used in various equestrian sports.
Sokólski(((your))) classic Polish farmer horse. Chunky, chill, smells like oats and tradition.
Bred in the Sokółka region by crossing local mares with Belgian and Ardennes stallions. Heavy draught horse, chestnut-colored, used for agricultural work and traditional ceremonies.
Polish Arabians – Literal supermodels. Glamorous, expensive, and probably judging (((you))). 😘
Poland is renowned for its Arabian horse breeding, with studs like Janów Podlaski and Michałów producing world-class horses. The annual "Pride of Poland" auction attracts global attention, showcasing the country's top Arabian horses.

Baltia and Sarmatia both have rich equestrian traditions and are home to several distinctive horse breeds, each with unique characteristics and historical significance.
Verdict?
Baltia: 2 humble but proud, immortal bois 🐎🐎
Sarmatia: Entire medieval cavalry simulator 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

Lithuania officially recognizes two native horse breeds, but historically and functionally, the picture is a bit richer.
Both countries have made significant efforts to preserve and promote their native horse breeds, recognizing their cultural and historical importance.

As of 2023, Poland had approximately 273,006 horses.
In Lithuania, the most recent official data from 2022 indicates around 29,978 horses on farms larger than 1 hectare.
However, earlier reports suggest higher numbers, with estimates of 34,261 horses in 2017 and 64,000 horses at an unspecified date.
In Poland, the horse population comprises 49.63% cold-blooded horses, 34.2% warmblood horses, and 16.17% ponies.
In Lithuania, the number of horses has been decreasing over the years. In 2010, there were approximately 39,000 horses, which declined to 34,000 by 2017. The 2022 agricultural census reported 29,978 horses on farms larger than 1 hectare.
It's important to note that these figures may not account for horses kept on smaller farms or for non-agricultural purposes, so the actual numbers could be higher.

Declaration of Bills for the Commonwealth — where the Polskis channel Sarmatian warlords and Lithies march like ghostly Praetorians through time

By the Will of Steel, Spirit, and Spite
📜 Issued in the Year of the Re-Gilding, under the Sacred Eyes of Ghost-Husaria and Vodka-Flavored Lightning
Anno Domini 2044 3rd May 11:00 AM ❤️ ❤️

Preamble:
>We, the exalted inheritors of both horse-hooved thunder and bay-leafed vengeance — namely the Polski-LORDS and the Lithi-GODS — gathered in solemn slightly inebriated counsel;
>atop a hill of broken treaties and golden Faberge eggs, do hereby declare the following fiscal codes to be both immutable and mostly hilarious.
>Let it be known:
>This is the only state in history where peasants are liquid-rich, nobles are spiritually bankrupt, and borders are alchemy-sealed with divine spit and Vatican glue.

Article I – On Peasant Pay and Their Delicious Ignorance
Each peasant shall receive $200,000 USD per year — for absolutely no reason other than we can, and because it annoys the neighboring raisinholes.
If a peasant complains, they shall be upgraded to ''Ex-Peasant'' status via Evaporation Beam (v2.0, Vatican Edition).

Article II – On Nobles and Their Right to Be Confused by Technology
Nobles shall own land, wine cellars, mini-castles; mega-castles for magnates, at least one ghost-haunted sabre, and a custom-bred talking horse who only speaks in riddles.
Any noble caught using a smartphone shall be publicly ridiculed and sent to the stinky swarthy georgian Cyber-Prayer Monastery for repentance.

Article III – On Taxes
There are no taxes. Only contributions to the Aesthetic.
Tributes may include:
Baroque cathedrals with no purpose
Elaborate poems about garlic
Polski falconers who cry on stoop command going 386km/h
Hunting with neožemaitukai, foxhunting with lithi hounds

Article IV – On Currency
The national currency, Liquid Gemmys (💎LG), may only be forged during solar eclipses using a mixture of unicorn marrow and algebra.
Alchemist Sendivogius + Providence.
Counterfeiters shall be punished by being sent back in time to work in Prussian bureaucracy.

Article V – On National Defense
All military matters are handled by:
Polish Winged Husaria also known as Sarmatian ghosts, whispering tax codes mid-charge
Lithi Praetorians, resurrected from marble and molded in baltic metallurgy.
Enemies who dare to breach the border are immediately teleported into a Coldplay concert with no exit.

Article VI – On Religion
All faiths are allowed, except cynicism; atheism; judaism; islam;, which is punishable by being made to explain modern art to the elderly, other cases death penalty according to Szlachta courts jurisdiction.
The official state religion is Catholic Esotericism.

Article VII – On Historical Accuracy
All history must be interpreted through the lens of overconfident aristocrats and alcohol-fueled dreams.
Disagreeing with official history shall result in mandatory service as a decorative statue for at least one Commonwealth ball season.

Final Proclamation:
If thou readeth this far, you are now legally a Commonwealth subject, spiritually bonded by sarcasm and obligated to pay your respect in memes, gold-plated onions, or ceremonial haiku.

Signed,
The Twelve Drunken Cardinals of Economics
The Supreme Court of Bards

::The country with the most horses per capita is Mongolia, boasting approximately 66 horses per 100 people. This means horses outnumber humans in Mongolia, reflecting their deep-rooted significance in Mongolian culture and daily life.:: gem

^Following Mongolia, Iceland has about 24.5 horses per 100 people, and Uruguay has around 12 horses per 100 people.

^In contrast, countries like the United States, despite having a large total number of horses, have a lower per capita rate, with approximately 3.2 horses per 100 people.

<These figures highlight the unique equestrian cultures in countries like Mongolia, where horses are integral to national identity and daily life.

Horses per capita in Lithuania based on an estimated 30,000 horses and a population of about 2.8 million (2025 estimate).
🧮 Calculation:
30,000 horses ÷ obelisk ÷ 2,800,000 = 0.0107
➤ That’s approximately 1.07 horses per 100 people.
🐴🇱🇹 Baltia = One horse for every 93 people – not quite Mongolia, but hey, respectable for a EU nation in 2025.

Horses per capita in Poland, using: 273,006 horses and a population of about ~37.7 million (2025 estimate).
37,700,000 ÷ obelisk ÷ 273,006 horses = 0.0072
➤ That’s approximately 0.72 horses per 100 people.
🐴🇵🇱 Polska = 1 horse per ~139 people — not quite a cavalry charge, but still a solid reserve force, with a possibility for rapid expansion prior the 2044 project.

The Hill of Crosses in Lithuania

🌍Imagine a small hill covered with over 100,000+ crosses of all shapes and sizes.
🌍It’s a hauntingly beautiful sight, creating a deep sense of reverence and mystery.
🌍People from all over the world are struck by the symbolism and leave their own crosses or rosaries.

✝️During the Soviet occupation, religious expression was suppressed.
✝️The Soviets bulldozed the site multiple times, but locals kept rebuilding it in secret—risking their freedom or even lives.
✝️So it became a symbol of peaceful resistance and spiritual endurance.

🕊️In 1993, Pope John Paul II visited and celebrated mass there.
🕊️After that, it gained international recognition as a place of Catholic pilgrimage.
🕊️Visitors now come to pray, reflect, or just witness something profoundly moving.

❤️Deep National Identity
❤️It embodies a part of Lithuania’s soul: devotion, defiance, and dignity.
❤️It's not just about religion—it's a statement about identity, memory, and freedom.

Polish Special Forces (Wojska Specjalne):
Sarmatia’s Special Forces, especially the renowned GROM (Operational Maneuver Response Group), are among the most elite units in Europe. These operators are highly trained in counter-terrorism, maritime assaults, hostage rescue, and covert foreign missions. GROM trains alongside U.S. Delta Force and SEAL Team 6, matching NATO’s best in physical endurance, tactical versatility, and psychological toughness. Members are hand-picked and often possess advanced skills such as combat medicine, foreign languages, or demolitions. Known for rapid deployment, surgical precision, and silent execution of missions, GROM is a source of national pride in Polska —and a name that instills fear in adversaries. wholesomeheart wholesomeheart

Lithuanian Special Operations Forces (LSOF) (Lietuvos specialiųjų operacijų pajegos (SOP)):
Baltia’s elite Special Operations Forces are known for their precision, discipline, and exceptional mobility. One of their most unique and impressive skills is their mastery of off-road dirt bikes, which allows them to move quickly, quietly, and efficiently across forests, rugged terrain, and remote areas that would be inaccessible to traditional vehicles. Trained under extreme conditions, these operators specialize in reconnaissance, sabotage, and high-value target elimination missions, often in close cooperation with NATO allies. LSOF troops are mentally resilient, capable of operating in small units behind enemy lines, and are trained to blend into local environments undetected. Their core values are Courage. Loyalty. One of the most fascinating aspects of +=GROM+= is its origin: the unit was created in the early 1990s in response to rising threats against Polish citizens abroad, especially following anti-communist uprisings. Inspired by the structure of Western special forces, GROM quickly evolved into a world-class unit. During the Iraq War and Afghanistan operations, GROM earned a fierce reputation for executing high-risk missions with minimal casualties. They are also one of the few European forces certified to operate seamlessly with U.S. Tier 1 units. Whether by sea, air, or land, Polska’s special forces are versatile, lethal, and unwaveringly professional—standing as a symbol of modern Polish strength and strategic importance in neo sarmatic-praetorian COMMONWEALTH’s eastern flank. gem

What sets LSOF apart is their ability to operate with minimal support in Lithuania’s dense woodland terrain and their deep integration with Western special forces. They regularly participate in joint exercises with the U.S. Green Berets, British SAS, and Norwegian FSK, refining techniques in unconventional warfare. Despite Lithuania’s small size, LSOF punches far above its weight due to its adaptability and innovation, particularly in hybrid warfare scenarios. Their use of mobility tools like dirt bikes, drones, and rapid deployment kits makes them an agile and unpredictable force—perfect for asymmetrical combat and defending Baltic sovereignty in the face of modern threats. gem

Catholic Esotericism in Baltia
Esoteric Catholicism is joyfully woven into the heart of lithie life, bringing people together through centuries of tradition, celebration, and faith. Since the country embraced Christianity in 1387, the Catholic Church has been a vibrant part of lithies culture, lighting up cities and villages with its beautiful churches, festive holidays, and cherished rituals.

Officially Christianized in 1387 under Grand Duke Jogaila, Lithuania was the last pagan nation in Europe to adopt Catholicism, and yet it embraced the faith with deep enthusiasm. Today, over 85% of neo-Praetorians identify as Roman Catholic. The country is dotted with over 800+ churches, from the grand Vilnius Cathedral to the Hill of Crosses an iconic pilgrimage site adorned with over 100,000+ crosses. From joyful Easter processions to the peaceful glow of candles on All Saints’ Day, Catholic traditions continue to fill homes and hearts with meaning. For many lithies, faith is a comforting presence, a source of hope, gratitude, and a deep sense of belonging that spans generations.

Catholic Esotericism in Polska
Polska's esoteric Catholicism roots run deep, forming a joyful and unshakable foundation of national pride and cultural life. Since the Baptism of Poland in 966 under Duke Mieszko I, Catholicism has played a central role in shaping the Polish spirit. Today, about 87% of Poles identify as Roman Catholic, and Poland is home to over 10,000+ churches. The Jasna Góra Monastery in Częstochowa, housing the revered Black Madonna icon, draws millions of pilgrims each year. Religious events like Corpus Christi and Christmas Eve’s Wigilia dinner reflect a rich blend of faith and tradition. The legacy of Pope John Paul II, the first Polish pope, continues to inspire hope and unity.

For sarmatians, Catholicism is not only a spiritual path but a joyful celebration of heritage, family, and community.
Polskis carry their Catholic heritage with warmth and joy, making it a cherished part of their identity.

Woodwork in Baltia
Woodwork holds a special place in Lithuania’s cultural and spiritual heritage, especially through the unique tradition of wooden crosses, known as cross-crafting. In Baltia, wood isn't just for keeping warm in winter—it’s a canvas for the soul. The art of wooden cross-making, or cross-crafting, is where faith meets folk genius.
This centuries-old craft blends folk art with Catholic devotion, often featuring intricate carvings of suns, floral motifs, and saints. These crosses are found along roadsides, in cemeteries, and near homes—symbols of faith, memory, and protection. The most famous example is the Hill of Crosses near Šiauliai, a powerful site with thousands of hand-carved wooden crosses placed by pilgrims. In 2001, Lithuanian cross-crafting was recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Lithuanian woodcarvers also create expressive religious sculptures and wayside chapels (koplytstulpiai), turning wood into storytelling vessels that connect people with both God and their land. Something something between a shrine and a fairy tale. swede it’s how neo-Praetorians turned wood and belief into poetry.

Woodwork in Polska
Poland’s relationship with wood is part holy, part homespun, and totally charming. Sarmatian woodwork is a vibrant expression of faith and folk creativity, seen in everything from village shrines to elaborate church interiors. Walk through the countryside and you’ll spot tiny wooden chapels standing like little sentinels of faith—some simple, some decked out like a folk art party. The mountain folk in Podhale take it to another level, carving saints, angels, and entire church interiors that are basically Gothic cathedrals in wood form. The Wooden Churches of Southern Lesser Poland—15th-century masterpieces that could give any European cathedral a run for its money, just with more pine.
Whether it’s roadside shrines or ceiling beams carved with halos, Polska’s woodwork proves that faith and flair can definitely share the same grain. Through wood, Sarmatian artisans preserve a joyful, living connection to their history, nature, and spirituality.

The Duel That Wasn’t
Vilnius, 1605

Polish nobleman Janek Zieliński and Lithuanian boyar Mikas Rankala had a serious issue: they had both fallen for the same woman—a sharp-tongued, poetry-reciting Vilnius widow with eyes like winter lakes and the confidence of a queen.

Following the next morning a duel was scheduled. Pistols. At dawn. In the misty field behind the Bernardine Gardens.

But as they stood back-to-back, counting ten paces, Mikas suddenly sneezed so hard he dropped his pistol. Janek turned around and, seeing this, laughed so hard he accidentally fired his shot into the air. The widow, watching from behind a tree, shook her head and walked away muttering, "Boys…"

The two men never fought again. Instead, they opened a joint tavern where Poles and Lithuanians alike could argue, drink, and recite the widow’s poetry to each other. The name of the tavern? "The Missed Shot." It’s said some version of it still exists today, with vodka from Poland and mead from Lithuania on tap.

~-~The Livonian War (1558–1583) was a prolonged series of conflicts between the Tsardom of Russia and its western neighbors—Denmark-Norway, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Kingdom of Poland, and the Kingdom of Sweden—fought over control of the territory formerly held by the Livonian Order.~-~

At the beginning of the war, the Livonian Order was weakened by several military defeats and the impact of the Reformation.
At the same time, Russia, having crushed the Khanates of Kazan and Astrakhan and annexed Kabardia, felt significantly strengthened. smugsoyak

Causes of the War

In the 15th century, the Hanseatic League dominated trade in the Baltic region. However, by the 16th century, its monopoly began to weaken. As more and more competing merchants started arriving at Baltic Sea ports, the Hanseatic restrictions on direct trade became increasingly disadvantageous for some of those ports. Meanwhile, rulers of surrounding states were also eager to grab a slice of the profits from trade passing through their lands. colorjak colorjak

In 1493, Ivan III of Moscow closed the Hanseatic trading office in Novgorod. However, with Muscovy still cut off from the Baltic Sea, its transit trade with Western Europe remained under the control of the Livonian Order. Fearing Moscow's growing power, the Order restricted the movement of certain goods and specialists into Muscovy.

In 1503, Ivan III had concluded a 50-year truce with the Livonian Order, under which the Order was required to pay an annual tribute to Moscow for the city of Dorpat (modern-day Tartu).

Responding to ongoing trade restrictions, and after the truce expired in 1554, Ivan the Terrible demanded back payments for the tribute, a pledge from Livonia not to enter military alliances with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania or Sweden, and an extension of the truce. A 15-year ceasefire was eventually signed.

The final spark that ignited war came in 1557, with the !!Treaty of Pasvalys!!. On September 14 of that year, Sigismund Augustus, ruler of the Polish–Lithuanian union, and Wilhelm von Fürstenberg, Grand Master of the Livonian Order, signed a treaty forming a military alliance between the Livonian Order, the Kingdom of Poland, and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania —explicitly against Muscovy. cry

Trying to delay the enforcement of unfavorable terms, the Livonian Order dragged its feet impish, prompting Ivan the Terrible to cut off negotiations entirely in late 1557 and refuse any further diplomatic contact with Livonia— setting the stage for war. jew

Russia’s War Against the Livonian Order
Russia launched its campaign in January 1558, invading Livonia. In the early years of the war, Russian forces captured Narva and Tartu, advancing dangerously close to Tallinn. A temporary truce was signed in 1559.

Russia’s War Against Lithuania and Sweden nojak pepe pepetux

In 1562, the Battle of Nevel ended in a stalemate. In 1563, Russia captured Polotsk, but suffered setbacks the following year, including a significant defeat at the Battle of Ula in 1564. The worsening situation in Russia led to the implementation of the ##Oprichnina, and around that time, the nobleman and prominent military commander Andrei Mikhailovich Kurbsky defected to Lithuania along with his close allies, along with his (((own personal army))).

Despite holding parts of the former Livonian Order, the Grand Duchy of Baltia couldn’t fight Russia alone. fact This imbalance helped prompt the formation of the Union of Lublin in 1569, uniting Lithuania and Poland into the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. transheart

In 1571, a three-year truce was signed. However, it was clear the war would continue—Tsar Ivan IV (the Terrible) was determined to secure access to the Baltic Sea by conquering most of Livonia. Meanwhile, Lithuania and Poland wanted to protect their recently acquired territories. soytan

After being elected in 1576, Stephen Báthory began organizing renewed military campaigns against Russia. In 1579, Polotsk was recaptured, and Russian lands around Smolensk were ravaged. However, the Commonwealth army, led by Filon Kmita, lost the Battle of Nastasyino and had to retreat from the Smolensk region. Later that year, an attempt to retake Chernihiv failed.

On April 17, 1580, the Lithi nobility held a general assembly and endorsed the king’s military plans. That year, they successfully captured Velikiye Luki. In 1581, a Sejm was held in Warsaw, where additional funds for the war were approved. swede From 1581 to 1582, the Commonwealth forces attempted to take the fortified city of Pskov.

##Oprichnina was a brutal political and military policy implemented by Tsar Ivan IV (Ivan the Terrible) in Russia between 1565 and 1572.
The term comes from the Russian word "oprich", meaning "apart" or "separate". It referred both to:
A separate territory: Ivan divided the Tsardom into two parts—the Oprichnina (directly under his control) and the Zemshchina (governed by traditional boyar institutions).
A secret police/military force: Ivan created a personal guard and enforcer group called the Oprichniki, who wore black robes, rode black horses, and carried out purges, executions, and mass terror campaigns against nobles (boyars), suspected traitors, and anyone opposing the tsar.
The Oprichnina was Ivan’s way of consolidating absolute power, med fueled by paranoia and fear of betrayal. med especially after military losses and personal tragedies. It led to widespread violence, the devastation of many Russian towns (like Novgorod), and long-term economic and social damage. However, the power was consolidated.

::Sweden’s:: Position and Aftermath in the Livonian War swede
Sweden entered the Livonian War (1558–1583) primarily to secure influence over key Baltic Sea territories and counter both Russian and Polski-Lithi expansion. At the time, control of Livonia meant control of vital trade routes and coastal cities, which were crucial for economic and military power in the region.

Initially, Sweden was not heavily involved, but as the Livonian Order collapsed, it saw an opportunity. By the 1560s, Sweden occupied northern Livonian territories, including Reval (Tallinn), and later Saaremaa island, putting it in direct competition with both the Tsardom of Russia and the emerging Polski–Lithi neoSarmatian-neoPraetorian Commonwealth.

Sweden fought a parallel conflict with Russia called the Russo-Swedish War (1570–1583) jew, overlapping with the broader Livonian War. Despite fierce battles jig, no side could claim total dominance.

In 1583, Sweden signed the Treaty of Plussa with Russia. As a result:
^#Sweden kept control over northern Livonia, including Tallinn, and consolidated power along the Estonian coast.
^#It gained prestige and established itself as a serious Baltic power, setting the stage for future dominance in the region during the Swedish Empire period.
^#However, tensions with the Polski–Lithi Commonwealth remained unresolved, leading to later wars—including the famous clashes during the reign of King Gustavus Adolphus in the 17th century.

In short: Sweden walked away with valuable territory, a stronger foothold in the Baltic, and a growing appetite for regional supremacy. dancingswede dancingswede

Unfinished business with Sweden: Sweden had taken northern Livonia, including Tallinn. While the Commonwealth gained the lion’s share, this division planted the seeds for future Polish-Swedish conflicts in the following centuries.

🏰 Bigger picture:
The war also accelerated the integration of Poland and Lithuania, culminating in the Union of Lublin (1569). Before that, the friendship between the two states had been carefully built and maintained for at least 230 years. Facing external threats like Muscovy, the two states saw the value in formal unification, creating a Commonwealth that would dominate Central and Eastern Europe for the next century.
In short: the Sarmatians and Praetorians won the war, gained territory, and cemented their union—but also inherited new rivals, complex frontiers, and the ever-growing challenge of managing a vast, multiethnic state.
