You don't need much, a mic (you can get a decent one for very cheap) basic recording software (audacity) and if you really want you could use FL studio/Ableton to add EQ and shit like that to further increase quality. Soundgoodizer and basic EQ goes along way especially when you have a shit mic like I do. Just have fun with it and do what you want to be honest.
