7/10 margerald. We're soyteens, we're in the know about 'jaks. We don't consider them incomprehensible, unlike twitter immigrants. Yet, despite that, many of us still found the game's mechanics confusing (especially Cobson, the fingerboy, and to a lesser degree, Chud). You can get the hang of it rather easily, but you need to consult the soyjak wiki or the fellow users on the sharty. Doll's phone calls don't explain the mechanics well enough, though they do hint at them. This game desperately needs a manual of sorts. But again, once you figure it out, the game becomes fun, but since it's only fun to those who are in-the-know, I gave it a 7/10.

Also, a minor pet peeve / nitpick: Nutty the squirreljak dies if he chews at Feraljak's bars. So you can spend the night with nutty dyinh from eating Feraljak's bars, and he'll respawn the next night. Similarly, you can spend the night with a hanging troon, and he'll be alive and well the next night. This begs the question: if the troon and Nutty can respawn, why can't all the other characters? You're not supposed to ask these questions. Just consume product. Like I said, it's a nitpick.

I guess that Doll said in night 2: "expect further visitors throughout the night" because of 'plier's video popularising the asylum. So you could argue that 'plier has numerous troons in his fanbase, and every night it's a different troon who looks the same as the previous night's troon. But that might not be the case: the troon's official name is "Goonella", so unless there are multiple troons who are all coincidentally called "Goonella" and all look the same. Then again again, "goon" is a word for "dime-a-dozen servant to a bad guy", so I guess from that sense of the word, it might be possible… Especially if they nickname one-another "Goonella" as part of their culture, like we nickname eachother "Chud"…

As for squirreljak, again, Doll didn't use the indefinite article "a squirreljak", implying that there's only one squirrel.

How to survive Cobson:
>First, you'll hear his footsteps in the hallway. You'll also hear his breath. Remember: HE IS NOT ACTUALLY IN YOUR ROOM YET, HE'S JUST OUTSIDE OF IT, even if can hear his breathing. DON'T FLASH AT HIM IN THIS STAGE, OR HE'LL RAPE YOU, EVEN IF HE'S NOT IN THE ROOM YET. These footstep sounds announce that he's about to enter, so if your door is closed, you won't hear footsteps, you'll just hear his knocking. At this stage, YOU HAVE TO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF. Also, when Cobson starts knocking on the door, Squirreljak's dispenser won't give nuts when you try to use it, and the squirrel itself will start chewing at Feraljak's cage bars even if he has no shortage of nuts to munch on. THIS FIRST STAGE CAN LAST 30 SECONDS IF THE DOOR IS OPENED. Usually he'll be less lazy and enter immediately, but sometimes he just can't make up his mind and he freezes at the door for a long time. Not even Chud waits this long, and the troon is the most polite, entering immediately. But not Lazyson, it seems.
>Then, if the door is open, you'll hear footsteps for a second time, this time in your room. You won't hear any buzzing like with Chud, imp, and 'plier, so pay attention to the breathing. THE LIGHTS MUST BE OFF BY THE TIME HE ENTERS AND YOU MUST STAY COMPLETELY MOTIONLESS DURING THIS STAGE! If you turn around, flash, or use the door button, he'll rape you. Also, DON'T FACE FERALJAK OR THE VENT. Even if you're completely motionless and you have the lights off, he'll still rape you if you face sideways. I think this is a bug. So: straight ahead, lights must be off, don't move, don't press anything.
>After a few seconds, similarly to Chud, Cobson will leave. You'll hear footsteps for a third and final time, and the breathing will stop. As soon as the footsteps sound effect plays, you can turn the lights back on. However, often times I like to wait for a while to make sure there is no breathing.
>For whatever reason, after Cobson leaves your room, you may find him hanging out with Feraljak for some reason, and you'll even hear footsteps, but you won't hear any breathing. You also won't see him on the camera. This might be a bug. Idk what happens if Feraljak is asleep and the cage is opened. But yeah, after a while, Cobson will return Post too long. When Rapeson appears at your door you should hear some loud footsteps. Once you hear them you should turn off the lights and look straight ahead, moving after you hear a second set of footsteps will ensure you die and a third set means he is gone.

It seems like if the night ends while the buzzing sound effect is playing from chud being in the office, it doesnt stop.

Also: there is an audio queue for the imp when he's at the vent but sometimes i see him in the hallway, does he ever step into the office before attacking or is there ever a sound effect or something?

I admit defeat. Night five is unbeatable.

I’ve been playing that one night nonstop for the past six hours. It simply can’t be done. I can deal with Fingerboy, I can deal with Cobson but when Fingerboy attacks while Cobson is in the room, nothing can be done about it, and it happens every fucking game.

The furthest I got was probably 20 seconds away from 6am. Cobson was in the room, I was counting down the 15 seconds until he left. I was so close. And then I heard that fucking autistic REEEE and I knew it was over.

Devs you will fix this NOW. Didn’t anyone playtest this fucking game before you published it?

Fingerboy is surprisingly easy for me.
>The fingerboy spawns in the room with camera 4, so in Soystein senior's office, with the audio log, where you hear squeaking, chirping, gnawing, chewing, scratching, biting, and other such fingerboy noises. Doll tells you in night 2 that "it's probably in his office" and that it produces "strange noises". The room is completely locked-up, and the fingerboy can only escape through the vent with the vent cam 10. If you see him in that vent, he can still come through the hallway. If it's dead silent in that room, it means the fingerboy is on the hunt.

I just pre-emptively close the vent in case Cob is coming into the room and I hear stomping noises in the vents. It also protects against the vent imp. If the fingerboy picks the hallway it's also easy, because he seems to be surprisingly patient and only attacks if you flash your light at him, so I hover my mouse over the door button, and once I flash, if I hear his screech, then I just quickly close the door. Half the time I don't even see his tiny body in the darkness, but I CAN hear his screech, so even with an acked troon you can still counter the fingerboy. He'll often even wait for me after Chud or Cobson leave. But don't wait around for too long, or he'll rush you even without any lights. Also don't just close the door without seeing him, or else he'll just wait at the end of the hallway, until it opens again so he can rush you, and THEN you close the door right in his face. You have to time it right with the hallway fingerboy.

Also, one time on night 3, I remember doing frequent and quick checks on his room, flicking around the map, and I also only saw him at 5 a.m., maybe I got lucky with the R.N.G., or maybe it's possible that quickly glancing at his room so often managed to camera-stall him. Idk.

Lastly, it seems as if the fingerboy goes through the hallway whenever the imp is in the vent. However, I think that one night I checked the cam to see the imp in the vent, later I heard the stomping noises and closed the vent, and then when the noises stopped and I checked the cam, I still saw the imp in the vent. I don't know if I remember correctly. The imp's location may or may not influence wether or not the fingerboy vents towards you, or choses the hallway.
