It was a symbol. A symbol for his belief in absolute strength. You see, CHADren is unique among the many antagonists Goku faced in that he is simply strong. Nothing more, nothing less. He doesn't have weird gimmicks, he doesn't have fancy techniques that border on magic, his race doesn't have weird biological gifts, he doesn't have transformations. He's just fucking strong because he worked for it.

And with that raw strength he surpasses everything, no gimmick works on him, no transformation helps, even freezing him in time doesn't defeat him.

Even if Jiren grabbed this nigger so he couldn't reverse time, and broke his neck, fate quite literally would not let it happen, the only way Jiren wins, is if he fights Sonic until he dies of old age, that's it, it's a pure durability test.

Archie Super Sonic can fix the multiverse in one concentrated blast albeit.
I will admit, thanks to Robotnik knocking him off course while doing this, the shot blasted incorrectly but if not for this, he could've easily fixed an infinite amount of Universes, as the Archie-verse has an infinite amount of them.

All he has is a time-limit on the form, so hypothetically Sonic could bounce back and forth from Super to Base over and over surviving through pure fate alone.

If he had access to his Ultra form (also very much invincible), he could just re-arrange Jirens atoms and turn him into a puddle, or if Jiren could tank that, Ultra Sonic could dismantle his Ki Barrier atom by atom.
ON TOP OF THIS, Ultra Sonic has a unknown multiplier over Super, so he could EASILY be capable of moving anywhere from 4000x to Infinity times the speed of light.
Sonic could either tap into Ultra, and disassemble Jiren atom by atom, or just tank his attacks until he dies of old age.

Yeah, I think this is a pretty concrete conclusion.
I know Archie Super Sonic has a plethora of abilities, that are admittedly quite busted, like being able to "wish things into existence" for example.
(No, I'm not showing scans as I quite literally have no clue where to look for a source on this but I've seen it stated all over power-scaling threads on plebbit.)
But yeah, I have to admit, Hakai is a pretty good "catch-all" move, that Archie Super Sonic might not be able to tank in Super with his aura, Super Sonic is also constrained to a time limit, so the second it runs out, he's relying on fate and raw-durability in Base.
