Nah, the AEW crowd turned on Cody during the Anthony Agogo thing. Cody was "proud American, defending the US flag from the evil britraisin boxer nigger who stepped on it" and that was what made the AEW marks turn on Cody. It was a shame too, because I unironically really liked early AEW despite all the retardation and faggotry before the audience turned on Cody and Cody went into overdrive with the Codyverse raisin. Didn't help that the Anthony Agogo raisin happened right around the time Brandi and Kenny Omega started playing tug of war with the womeme's division books and Tony stepped in to take away all booking power from the EVPs and make himself a character.

To me peak AEW was the Cody vs Dustin match leading into the Dork Order feud with Brody Lee. Cody's "I need my brother" promo while they were both exhausted and covered in blood was absolute nectar and AEW was never able to get anywhere close to that kind of storytelling.
