Like the other poster said, it's a lot stiffer. They don't come out and cut promos on each other usually. Stardom used to have subtitles and I think they're working on restoring them but they get English commentary for big shows (or were, anyway).
Alternatively, if women's wrestling isn't your thing, you might want to look into New Japan or NOAH. Those are men's wrestling but also much harder hitting and realistic than WWE.

I posted some of these pics on 8chan but just found this thread and it appears a lot more active so I'll repost them here and share some thoughts on the week. (Hopefully these pics are in the correct orientation, if they're not I apologize.)
-I saw some feedback that people didn't seem to like the Stardom shows but I went to the Thursday one and had a good time. The main event was really solid.
-It was amazing seeing Kitto wrestle live. Ram is very smol. Even smoler in person than I anticipated.
-The meet and greets seemed to have sold well despite Stardom pricing them at $50 per player which I found pretty appalling. Good for them, I guess.
-I don't know if running the Friday show head to head with TJPW was intentional, but if so they got absolutely embarrassed. Most of the people I saw at the Thursday show went to TJPW and the couple of people that I talked to said they would have gone to the second Stardom show if it wasn't running at the same time. TJPW has the attendance listed as 812 which as far as I'm aware is their international record, and from the pics I saw on X Stardom didn't even draw a quarter of that.

-The Hazuki vs. Lena Kross main event was really solid, I'd recommend seeking it out. It was a classic monster heel vs. smaller babyface match but executed really well. I marked hard for the finish. The Ram vs. VertVixen match was solid too. Ram plays a great babyface in peril. It was really cool seeing Aja and Kyoko wrestle live. Their match was really fun.
