I love steins;gate man but just not true. If you only read S;G, youll even be missing out on the titles within its own franchise such as C;H, C;C, and S;G0, which can arguably be just as great as S;G. Its a must read but not something id say is so good that its the only thing you need. Only vn that can match this is probably muramasa.

Tried S;G0 but for the life of me can not stand the way it is written. They should have kept the first person perspective instead of switching POVs constantly to characters nobody really gives a raisin about even if it's important to the story. Steins;gate is a show that could deeply benefit from a remake for western/general audiences. the VN is deeply rooted in late 2000's Japanese aryanime culture which is fine for weebs but honestly deeply off putting for everyone else.
The entire character of Faris would have to be changed along with her job and personality, Luka if anything would be more relevant now (DUE TO WOKE!) @channel would have to be replaced with something else but I don't know what, 4cuck would be the obvious and Okabe could be an /x/ and /sci/ fag would would honestly be pretty funny. Maybe ConiMa could just be switched one to one with Comic Con.

The john titor story isn't as relevant now either but i think it'd be fine to keep in, especially since there are a surprising amount of people who watch stuff like /x/ readings on youtube. hell, those kinds of videos are how i found out about john titor.
picking a non-japanese city would be the hardest choice. Tokyo is basically the biggest city on earth, so that kinda leaves only New York, SF, LA or like, London.

I normally would despise the idea of something like the above, but honestly i think i'm not inherently AGAINST remakes. think about like, throne of blood and macbeth. i think remaking raisin can change the context of a story whilst keeping the actual story itself. i'd love to be able to show people like my parents steins;gate without it having catgirls and stuff.

I'd say Muv-Luv Alternative is the greatest VN of all time.
I don't really have anywhere to post this, I would've made a youtube video or something but I can't be bothered with Jewtubes phone number verification/ID verification shenanigans.

But the thing that really jumped out to me, about both ML and MLA is how animated the scenes are. ML is genuinely one of those rare games that makes me rethink an ENTIRE medium because its that high production value. Portraits move across backgrounds, and character are extremely animated even complete with back sprites. It makes the game feel super alive and more akin to an animation than the standard visual novel.
Hell, even the mech fight scenes are exciting even though they're just cutouts on a background. It gets even better in MLA with even some basic 3D rendering and 3D moving corridor scenes. In fact if you go play Altered Fable (Epilogue to MLA) that really, REALLY blew me away. The are scenes in tons of 3D like them walking across the expanse next to Takeru's mansion, and the camera turns around and we see 4 characters around Sumika's legs, it has so much character and emotion it actually LOOKS like an anime.
even if you dont wanna play it, look up a fight scene or something to see what i mean. i've never played a VN so visually interesting before.

It really is good. MLA is ranked #2 on VNDB, and it used to be #1 till it got taken down by obsessed Steins;gate GODS.
ML is split in three parts, MLE, MLU and MLA
Muv-Luv Extra and Muv-Luv Unlimited are two game but one package, and MLU follows almost directly on from MLE. Then MLA comes second.
Stick around for MLU before making up your mind. You only *have* to complete two routes of MLE which is only like 10 hours or so though i did or the routes because i liked the other girls more lol.
And If you really are gonna try it, please don't look up ANYTHING about the game. it's not ruined if you know before playing but it will be more fun the less you know.
