The plastic surgery look Is not for men. It's for other women. It says, look at me, I can spend thousands on pointless, expensive, unnecessary procedures. It's a consequence of a world where a woman's status is solely derived through monetary accumulations.
Just look at other past "Beauty" Standards (That men don't actually care about) before the monetary fixation. Long nails were a broadcast that you don't have to work. Your man handled all of that. That's why breaking a nail was stereo-typically so devastating to them, it suggests they had to do something physical. It was not about the broken nail, It was about the broken Message.
