On the other hand. I was just doing 100+mph on my way home from Easter with the fam and it was incredibly nice to tuck in and cut through the wind at those speeds. I would definitely consider a naked if I lived out near my parents where there is no freeway and it’s all backroads. Unfortunately I live closer to the city and do a lot of freeway riding.

I pulled the 999 out tonight to start it and let it warm up. Coming up on a year since I last rode it. I made sure I put stabilizer in the fuel tank and I start it occasionally.
Probably should throw it back on insurance and ride it for a couple days to burn the fuel out of it, then find an ethanol free fuel station.

There are things I miss about it, but that bike is honestly kind of absurd. Seating is so aggressive. It steers weird. If I can get the suspension sorted out at some point, maybe it would be better. It just doesn't like to lean over, and I think it might just be how the bike is. I adjusted the suspension and set it up for my weight. I think the wheel base is too long and the form angle has too much positive caster. They sell an aftermarket steering head that a lot of track guys use to make them steer better, but it's like $800 and I don't even want to track that bike. Kinda just keeping it as decoration/investment at this point. Maybe it will appreciate in value at some point and I would sell it at that point.

Weather has been really good lately, so I've been riding a lot in between all the rain.
My buddy that got murked on his Ducati 959 is back riding already. I let him borrow my zx6r to go to the twisties with me. Took my gf as a backpack on the zx14. Hit the hardest leans I think I've ever hit on that bike last week.
Buddy is going to go buy a Tuono v4 this weekend if everything goes according to plan. Christmas eve his whole left side was shattered, and he's already back hitting twisties. I let him borrow my crown vic while he's been out of work recovering. He's not even buying a car, he's just going straight back to bike everyday. Lmao. Dude is fucking dedicated.
